SpamWeed creates a 'white list' of email addresses to manage mail from your friends and uses this to identify them in the stormy sea of corporate marketing devil. In addition, you can also create and constantly update a blacklist of addresses which you know are nothing but trouble. In addition, statistical information is used to combat the ever-changing buzzwords used by spammers to dodge your filter.

Unlike common spam filters, you can specify which mass mailings you'd actually choose to receive (newsletters, reminders and products you're interested in) and which you'd rather avoid. SpamWeed also boasts a virus detector, stamping out any infected mail even if it is sent by your 'friends'.

The classifier screen shows your sorted mail and enables you to correct any erroneous classifications. If SpamWeed gets it wrong, you can move your mail back to your inbox and give it a telling off, as it learns from its mistakes. If left unattended, the program purges your spam overflow at your discretion.
